Alone aboard a crippled transport ship, Elias Walker, the last living human records his final message.
Earth is dead. The ship drifts through the void, carrying cryogenic DNA, the last hope for a civilisation that no longer exists.
What begins as a professional mission log soon becomes something far more human: a eulogy for our species.
As the oxygen fades, Elias’s composure fractures. He realises that he is not just facing death, he is witnessing the extinction of everything that ever was.
His voice becomes the last sound humanity will ever make. A heartbeat in the dark. Then silence.

As a filmmaker, I’m drawn to stories where silence speaks louder than dialogue. Final Transmission reflects my fascination with humanity’s need to be remembered, even when no one is left to remember us. Elias’s final words are not a plea for help, but an act of faith: a belief that connection can outlive extinction.
Through stillness, sound, and restraint, I want the audience to feel the fragility of existence, to see beauty in letting go, and to leave the film with a single lingering thought:
